In Connecticut We are allowed to get a gill net permit for personal use only. We are able to fish a single net up to 60 feet in length. This permit does not allow sale of the menhaden. We are only able to fish the gill nets in marine waters.The cost of the permit is $100 a year. At the end of each season we are required to fill out a catch report and send it to the Connecticut D.E.P.
